Safety - The fact that all our eggs are produced under the Lion Code means that they are produced to the highest quality standards and food safety in the world.

Welfare - We adhere to the highest quality and welfare assurance standards that exceed all legal requirements. Our passion for bird welfare means that it is our policy to never handle eggs that have come from caged/intensive hens and for that matter any other eggs other than genuine free range. This is what we mean when we say our whole operation is "dedicated" free range and there are not many others in Britain who can claim to be in the same league as us in this respect.

Traceability - Consumers are rightly becoming more concerned about where there food is coming from. At Yorkshire Farmhouse because we use eggs that come from our own farms we can very easily and quickly find out from which flock and on what date a particular egg was laid on. In addition, because we rear all of our own chickens from day old, we can truly claim to have ultimate traceability from chicken to egg!

Taste/Freshness - We often hear from our customers just how fresh and tasty our eggs are. We believe this is not only down to the high standards that we adhere to, but also our approach of only using small sheds with plenty of natural vegetation to encourage the birds to roam. In addition, because all of our eggs come from our own farms it also means we can get them out to the shops quicker - often within 24 hours!

Environment - As a company we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment. All of our eggs are sourced from our own sustainable farms within a 30 mile radius, therefore not only making our eggs fresher, but also reducing the number of food miles they have travelled.
We make every possible effort to use local Suppliers for all our packaging requirements. Likewise, we try and ensure that we only use Recyclable materials where possible.
Our commitment to planting trees and hedges around our farms, not only benefits the wellbeing of the hens but also the natural environment.
